A 12 week camp geared for our beginner T.OTs (preschool, transitional kindergarten, and kindergarten aged toddlers / children) who are ready to explore all there is to launch into their pre-academic journey!

SENSORY PROCESSING VIA SENSORIMOTOR OBSTACLE COURSES IN THE OT SENSORY CLINIC AT IRVINE THERAPY SERVICES
CUT BASIC SHAPES WITH SCISSORS
BILATERAL COORDINATION
VISUAL & FINE MOTOR ABILITIES USING THE HANDWRITING WITHOUT TEARS CURRICULUM
IMPROVE GRASP ON PENCILS & CRAYONS
PUT TOGETHER MULTI-STEP CRAFTS
BETTER REGULATE THEIR BODIES
T.OTs will learn how to form 2-3 UPPERCASE letters a day using the Handwriting Without Tears (Kick Start Kindergarten) curriculum.
A $15 non-refundable materials fee will be collected on the first day of the camp to cover the Learning Without Tears workbook and crafts materials.

What is included in this program
OT Inspired Interventions
75 minutes of targeted occupational therapy inspired activities to strengthen foundational skills needed for school activities like handwriting.
Handwriting Without Tears
T.OTs will learn how to properly form letters using the Handwriting Without Tears Kickstart to Kindergarten curriculum.

Weekly Communication
Weekly updates on work analysis and pictures to parents. Individualized goal setting to help each child make gains appropriate to their current abilities.
Sensorimotor Activities
Daily sensorimotor obstacle course using the occupational therapy sensory clinic equipment at Irvine Therapy Services.

Parent Info Session:
Information session (date TBD) to learn about how sensory processing impacts school-based skills with the co-owner of Irvine Therapy Services!
Multi-Sensory Approach
T.OTs will learn in a multi-sensory way of learning from working at the wall, through whole body movements, to being on the floor, & then sitting at the desk!
